BookerZzz breaks down internal data silos across operations

BookerZzz is a European online travel company (HotelSpecials, HotelWeek, BungalowSpecials) that serves over a million customers a year. Rapid growth exposed large internal data silos: teams in the Netherlands, Sweden and Germany relied on scattered Excel spreadsheets and local analytics tools, making it slow and difficult for non-technical staff and senior management to get a complete, timely view of the business.

In 2016 BookerZzz deployed Tableau company-wide with targeted training and departmental “champions,” consolidating Google Analytics, SEO/SEA data from 18 sites and other sources into a suite of 20 dashboards (10 updated daily). The rollout created a single source of truth used by more than 80 employees, cut analyst manual work by about two hours per person per day, and revealed valuable insights—such as partner room allocation patterns, event-driven booking spikes and country-specific booking behaviors—improving negotiation leverage, marketing targeting and faster decision-making.
