By rolling out Tableau Desktop and then Tableau Server, Bayer built a global decision‑support platform that integrates multiple data sources, adds predictive and scenario analysis, and standardizes KPIs. The change cut data‑integration and report production from six months to one month (and departmental cycles from three months to two weeks), drove daily self‑service analytics toward company‑wide self‑management (e.g., KPI Score Card dashboards), increased transparency and operational efficiency, and strengthened data‑driven decision making and competitiveness.
