T2 Systems Partnership Relieves Unprecedented Staff Overload

Colorado State University, through its Parking and Transportation Services team, was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, which triggered a surge in permit refunds, customer calls, and other manual parking workflows. The overload exposed process inefficiencies in areas like department vehicle permits, employee permit issues, and citation handling. Colorado State University worked with T2 Systems and its T2 Managed Services/T2 Flex platform to find a better way to manage the growing demand.

T2 Systems implemented automation for permit renewals, department billing, employee permit checks, and citation handling, helping CSU reduce manual data entry and back-and-forth communication. The results included automatic renewal of department vehicle permits, auto-billing of citations to departments, and a system that reduced first-time citations to warnings, which cut about 55% of citations into automated warnings. Colorado State University reported significantly less staff burden, fewer calls, and a better customer experience thanks to T2 Systems.
