Pay Stations and LPR Help Rehoboth Beach Make Enforcement a Breeze

The City of Rehoboth Beach, a busy Delaware beach destination that sees its population swell dramatically in summer, faced a confusing mix of parking technologies that created a poor experience for visitors and extra headaches for staff. The City turned to T2 Systems for a more streamlined parking approach, including T2’s license plate recognition (LPR) enforcement solution and Luke Cosmo pay stations.

T2 Systems implemented an LPR-based enforcement setup with Genetec cameras, AutoVu Patroller software, and T2 eTicketbook, while replacing hundreds of single-head meters with 46 Luke Cosmo multi-space pay stations. The results were significant: officers could patrol all nine blocks in about 3 hours, parking revenue increased by about $900,000 year over year, and the customer experience became much simpler with one consistent way to pay.
