City of Surrey’s Parking Management Collaboration Made Possible with T2’s Luke® II Pay Stations

The City of Surrey, a fast-growing metropolis in British Columbia, needed a new paperless parking system for its transformed city center that could serve 10 user groups and avoid traffic bottlenecks in a new 835-stall garage. To meet those challenges, the City worked with T2 Systems and selected T2’s Luke II pay stations as part of a broader collaborative parking solution.

T2 Systems helped integrate the Luke II pay stations into a gateless, pay-by-plate parking system that worked seamlessly with other technologies. The results included Level A traffic flow, fewer than 50 complaints across more than 214,000 transactions, zero theft incidents, annual savings of at least $18,000 in permit and processing costs, and an estimated $750,000 saved versus a gated solution.
