Binghamton University, led by Director of Transportation and Parking Services Susan Crane, wanted to modernize parking operations that were still using outdated stickers, hangtags, and manual processes. The university turned to T2 Systems, using T2 Flex/FlexPort and hosted parking data, to simplify enforcement and support newer tools like license plate recognition and pay-by-plate technology.

T2 Systems implemented a more integrated parking platform with mobile enforcement and Genetec AutoVu LPR, allowing Binghamton to manage rules by lot, enforce more fairly, and speed up campus sweeps across 930 acres. The results included a major jump in online permit sales from 37% to 78%, reduced office traffic, and more efficient enforcement, with a second LPR-equipped vehicle added after the initial success.
