The Weir Group, a global engineering company serving mining, oil and gas, power, and industrial markets, needed better visibility into fleet operations, more efficient reporting, and improved safety across its North American Oil & Gas Division. With 65 locations and a complex mix of commercial vehicles and light-duty trucks, the company struggled with paper logs, manual compliance processes, and the risk of costly regulatory violations. To address these challenges, Weir turned to AT&T Business and its fleet management capabilities.

AT&T Business implemented AT&T Fleet Management, combining IoT services with Geotab’s fleet tracking platform to automate electronic logging, improve compliance, and deliver near real-time vehicle and driver data. The solution helped Weir improve driver safety and performance, reduce manual work, lower fuel and maintenance costs, and simplify reporting and tax compliance. It also enabled tracking of more than 1,000 pieces of equipment and over 1,500 employees, while helping eliminate paper processes and support safer, more efficient operations.
