PDA Database Developed to Synchronize Field Sales & Marketing Teams

Zync Solutions needed a fast, low‑code way to deliver PDA-based survey and presentation applications that would synchronize field sales teams with marketing for large retail programs. Working on projects such as One 2 One Mobile, Zync turned to SYWARE’s Visual CE to build and maintain PDA database forms without heavy programming, enabling rapid development and easy deployment of field applications.

Using SYWARE’s Visual CE, Zync built eight‑page PDA forms and a nightly synchronization workflow that automatically uploads survey data to a central SQL database and downloads updated 300‑page presentations to field devices. The SYWARE‑based solution made field data available the same day instead of weeks, eliminated paper re‑entry and distribution costs (paying for itself in three months), supported visits to 6,000 outlets monthly, and greatly sped form updates and reporting for marketing managers.
