Building a Windows CE Application for Sales Management - Within Hours

Rogers needed a lightweight, customizable way for field sales staff to carry and update rich account information on a Windows CE handheld without costly custom development or hauling a laptop. Using SYWARE’s Visual CE (and Report CE for reporting), Rogers’ sales executive Michael Melo was able to capture, organize and sync customer data on his HP Jornada quickly and without programming experience.

SYWARE’s Visual CE solution let Melo build a suite of synchronized, relational handheld applications—he created five apps in the first month and built his first app in just a few hours—that link contact records, documents and scanned maps and sync with his desktop. The result: at least an hour saved per day, elimination of duplicate data entry, immediate access to customer intelligence, fast custom reports via Report CE, and plans to roll the SYWARE solution out across the local sales team.
