Cecabank Ensures Swift CSP Compliance With the Help of Syteca

Cecabank, a Spanish wholesale bank using the SWIFT network, needed to meet SWIFT Customer Security Programme (CSP) requirements and reduce the risk of compromised SWIFT credentials for users who access SWIFT through Citrix. To gain visibility into SWIFT sessions and centralize logging for incident detection and compliance, Cecabank engaged Syteca and deployed the Ekran System for session monitoring and logging.

Syteca implemented Ekran System features including OCR-based recording of SWIFT login attempts, continuous user activity recording on Citrix servers, real-time alerts for suspicious actions, and forwarding of SWIFT access logs to Cecabank’s SIEM. As a result, Cecabank gained clear visibility into who does what in the SWIFT environment, can detect and stop attacks at early stages, and now analyzes SWIFT access logs centrally via their SIEM, confirming SWIFT CSP compliance.
