How SYSTRAN helped Stellantis to go from on-demand intranet translation to custom business apps

Stellantis, the multinational automotive group, needed a secure way to help its 90,000 intranet users translate and understand multilingual content across documents, emails, and technical materials in real time. To address this, Stellantis turned to SYSTRAN and its SYSTRAN Translate Server product to integrate machine translation directly into its Group Intranet Portal.

SYSTRAN implemented its translation solution within Stellantis’ IT infrastructure, enabling daily users to translate documents in 22 languages, produce multilingual content securely, and use tailored tools like a 25,000-term automotive dictionary and the SYSTRAN Toolbar. The impact was strong: daily usage grew to around 3,000 users generating 40,000 to 50,000 requests per day, the target of 1 million requests per month was exceeded, and dictionary look-ups reached about 360,000 in one year, up 112%.
