A seamless solution to combat counterfeiting

LUX Global Label, a leading manufacturer of pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, and security solutions, needed a way to add product authentication for a major consumer health and pharmaceutical customer without changing the look or production process of its labels. The challenge was to move authentication upstream from the customer’s packaging line to LUX Global Label’s rewinder speeds, while preserving output and avoiding additive printing steps.

Systech implemented its UniSecure-based e-Fingerprinting solution using HS-Web hardware on LUX Global Label’s rewinder, capturing existing printed microvariations as a unique digital identity for each label. The installation was completed in one day and supports up to 16 lanes and 25,000 signatures per minute, enabling non-additive authentication, stronger brand protection, and new customer engagement opportunities without altering artwork or manufacturing workflow.
