Waldmann Lighting, a manufacturer of task and medical lighting, faced manual forecasting, fragmented order and inventory processes, and long lead times for parts from Germany that led to excess stock and labor‑intensive paperwork. To improve production planning, inventory control and customer service, Waldmann selected SYSPRO ERP Software in 1998 (implemented with support from Value Added Reseller Business Technology Partners).

SYSPRO ERP Software was implemented with modules such as SYSPRO ODBC and Barcode for SYSPRO and integrated reporting (Crystal Reports/Microsoft Access) to automate customer-status updates, provide real-time warehouse/bin and labor tracking, and drive MRP-based purchasing. The solution reduced manual work and man‑hours, balanced inventory with forecasted production to lower stock levels, improved on‑time deliveries and order visibility, and materially enhanced customer service and operational efficiency.
