Ventec Life Systems increased production 80x in four months, as a response to the global pandemic

Ventec Life Systems, a U.S. medical device company known for its VOCSN integrated respiratory system, faced an urgent challenge in Spring 2020 to ramp manufacturing volumes roughly 80-fold to fulfill a federal order for 30,000 critical-care ventilators. To meet that demand and rapidly change processes, Ventec deployed SYSPRO 8 from SYSPRO ERP Software across its operations.

SYSPRO ERP Software supported Ventec with a single ERP platform (MRP, inventory, lot/serial tracking, WIP, shipping, order processing) plus customized shop-floor panes and rapid adaptations, enabling parallelized workflows and 24/7 three-shift production. The result: Ventec increased output 80x between May and August 2020, completed 30,000 ventilators in 154 days (about one every seven minutes) with a peak month of ~12,000 units, while improving supply-chain visibility and product quality.
