SYSPRO Delivers Visionary ERP Support to Help American Printing House for the Blind to Excel

The American Printing House for the Blind, the world’s largest nonprofit serving people who are blind and visually impaired, faced a legacy-technology problem: a SYSPRO ERP Software suite purchased in 2007 was being underutilized, leaving manufacturing, inventory and state-funded ordering processes disconnected from the public website. CIO Alejandro Erik Franco set out to modernize APH’s operations and deliver an Amazon-like ordering and fulfillment experience while reducing manual work and improving service to state agency customers.

Using SYSPRO ERP Software as the configurable foundation — with implementation support from Circle City Software Solutions — APH documented and automated business processes, integrated BOM, shop-floor controls, barcoding and MRP, and connected SYSPRO via APIs to WooCommerce for an improved eCommerce front end. The results included a 16% increase in sales in one year, a 40% cut in financial headcount budget, a monthly close reduced from 2 days to 4 hours (≈$5,800 annual savings), a two-day faster order-to-fulfillment cycle (≈$600 saved per order), better customer communications and real-time funding visibility, all enabled by SYSPRO ERP Software.
