StarFish Medical, a Canadian medical device design and manufacturing firm, faced growing operational scale and strict ISO 13485 traceability requirements that their manual record-keeping could no longer support. To solve this, StarFish Medical partnered with SYSPRO ERP Software and deployed SYSPRO ERP to replace manual transcription and consolidate production, purchasing, inventory and quality records.

SYSPRO ERP Software implemented custom reports and serialization tracking within SYSPRO ERP so StarFish can drill down through all production levels, link parts and sub-parts to finished units, and automate vendor qualification and record generation. The solution eliminated manual transcription, freed up operations, planning and quality-control staff, and provided the visibility and electronic Device History Records needed to meet compliance and support continued growth.
