Pierce Pacific Grows on Foundation of SYSPRO Software

Pierce Pacific, a Portland-based equipment manufacturer of built-to-order excavator attachments, faced complexity from a very high SKU count, frequent one-off jobs and long-term spare-parts requirements that strained inventory, production tracking and purchasing as the business grew. The company turned to SYSPRO ERP Software, expanding use of its SYSPRO solution (including the MRP module) to address dynamic bill-of-materials, job tracking and multi-currency needs.

SYSPRO ERP Software’s implementation centralized inventory and production control — including the MRP module and Supply Chain Transfer for warehouse logistics — enabling Pierce Pacific to store about 220,000 part numbers, track roughly 2,200 open jobs, support 100 users and manage the opening/closing of some 50 production jobs daily. The SYSPRO solution improved stock accuracy, purchasing decisions and cash-flow management, and handled international valuation and growth without limiting future expansion.
