L&G Tools reaps the benefits of fully-integrated SYSPRO solution

L&G Tools, a South African wholesale distributor established in 1977, faced an outdated ERP (Comet Top on a proprietary Unix) that could no longer support inventory ordering, sales order processing, debtors/creditors management or effective management reporting. To modernize its operations, L&G Tools selected SYSPRO ERP Software, implementing SYSPRO Financials, SYSPRO e.net and later the SQL/Windows versions and RMA module to meet reporting and compliance needs.

SYSPRO ERP Software migrated L&G Tools’ inventory and debtors data from Comet Top, enabled integration with third‑party systems (Streamline WMS, Rapid Trade, Skynamo), and provided improved database management and reporting. The move to SYSPRO delivered measurable benefits — more efficient business management, enhanced extraction of financial and statistical information, and better compliance and shareholder reporting — making L&G Tools one of the early adopters of SYSPRO’s Windows/SQL solution.
