Kwalu Produces Durable Furniture with ‘Durable’ SYSPRO

Kwalu, a Ridgeland, South Carolina manufacturer of highly durable, modular furniture for hospitals, schools and commercial clients, faced exponential growth, highly customized product configurations and unique production requirements that strained its systems. Rather than replace its ERP, Kwalu worked with SYSPRO ERP Software, deploying modules including SYSPRO Financials, SYSPRO CRM, e.net Solutions (e.net Manager), Bill of Materials, Work in Progress and SQL Manager to handle barcoding, integration and automation needs.

By running SYSPRO ERP Software on a Microsoft/SQL platform with 24 concurrent users and a proprietary e.net-driven barcode integration into SYSPRO MRP, Kwalu gained real-time inventory visibility, automatic kitting and production tracking. The solution reduced excess stock and operating and shipping costs, eliminated many split shipments, freed the equivalent of 2–3 full-time data-entry roles, supported new product lines and more competitive pricing, and improved overall customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
