Alpine Confections Finds SYSPRO a Sweet Choice

Alpine Confections, a 400-employee candy manufacturer with multiple Utah plants and a rapidly expanding product line, faced fragmented systems: rudimentary accounting software, poor technical support after its supplier was sold, limited inventory visibility and the need for Y2K compliance. To modernize operations and support growth, Alpine Confections selected SYSPRO ERP Software (implemented as SYSPRO enterprise business software) to replace its legacy systems.

SYSPRO ERP Software was implemented across accounting, order entry and manufacturing (28 users at the Alpine facility, client/server on Windows NT with T1 connectivity to other plants), delivering a fully integrated ERP with customizable reports, roles-based interfaces and process/plant-floor control. The SYSPRO implementation expedited high-volume order entry, provided accurate inventory visibility and reorder-level calculations, and enabled customizable reporting for better decision-making—resulting in increased productivity, a 360-degree view of operations and maximized resources, with further efficiency gains expected as plant-floor control is completed.
