Case Study: HCL achieves greater IaaS flexibility and 75% lower storage TCO with SysEleven’s hyperconverged Intel-based cloud solution

A SysEleven Case Study

Preview of the HCL Case Study

Hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) enables SysEleven to provide customers with reliable public and private cloud solutions

SysEleven, a Germany-based IaaS provider, faced the challenge of designing a flexible, hyperconverged infrastructure to meet growing customer demand for managed Kubernetes services and container orchestration. They needed a new, high-performance shared storage system that was cost-effective and could integrate seamlessly with their OpenStack cloud environment to serve a wide variety of customer deployment models.

The solution implemented by SysEleven combined a hyperconverged hardware design using Intel Xeon Scalable processors with a software-defined, all-flash storage system built on Intel SSDs. This approach from SysEleven resulted in an estimated 75 percent reduction in the total cost of ownership for shared storage over five years. The solution also provided excellent scalability, allowing nodes to be added with no downtime, and the flexibility to handle a broad range of customer use cases.
