ScanSource, a leading hybrid distributor connecting devices to the cloud, needed a better way to train hundreds of sales learners across multiple departments. Before using Synthesia, the sales enablement team relied on text or voice-over PowerPoints, which were less engaging, took around 40 hours a month to develop, and were difficult to update quickly as content changed.

With Synthesia, ScanSource’s sales enablement manager Kristen Fraessdorf created training videos by scripting content with SMEs, generating videos with avatars, voices, screen recordings, and editable scenes, then reviewing them collaboratively before uploading to the LMS. Synthesia helped ScanSource produce 45+ trainings, cut development from weeks to a few days, and save thousands in annual productivity costs.
