How Criteo uses AI video for newcomer onboarding

Criteo, a global commerce media company, needed to refresh its employee onboarding program quickly. Their existing training included quizzes, short texts, and videos, but updating the videos was time-consuming, inflexible, and costly when done through outside vendors. Criteo turned to Synthesia’s AI video platform to help modernize the onboarding experience.

With Synthesia, Learning Creative Designer Rafael Badell could turn SME scripts, brand assets, and additional scene content into training videos with a custom avatar and consistent branding. The results were strong: he was able to create a training video in under 2 hours, update the full onboarding course in less than 6 months, and produce about 50 videos in total. Criteo also received positive feedback from trainees on the video quality.
