CSL transforms automated micro-purification with accelerated planning & data processing

CSL, a global biotechnology company, tasked its Purification Team with doubling experimental throughput by 2030 but faced low automation uptake, complex scripting, poor device utilization, and fragmented manual data handling. To address this, CSL piloted the Synthace platform (including its Workflow Builder no-code tools) to enable scientists to design and run micro-scale purification experiments without writing custom scripts and to standardize workflows across sites.

Synthace delivered a no-code design, in-silico simulation and execution layer that translated human-language workflows into Tecan Evo robot instructions, checked for errors, and automatically aligned and analyzed plate-reader and liquid-handling data. The result: up to 60% time savings on end-to-end micro-scale purification workflows, up to a 50% increase in automation utilization, higher-quality experimental insights with no additional headcount, and faster scaling of complex Design of Experiments studies across the CSL team.
