Printpack, a privately held manufacturing company, had run Oracle JD Edwards for more than ten years on a single instance in a dedicated private cloud. As its business grew, performance and uptime declined, and the IT team needed a better path forward. After evaluating options, Printpack chose Syntax to help it simultaneously upgrade to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2 and move to the public cloud.

Syntax implemented the project using Syntax Enterprise Cloud® on Amazon Web Services, along with Syntax EnterpriseCare® monitoring. The combined upgrade and migration took about six months from execution to go-live, including 10 other supporting applications. The result was significantly improved system performance, increased uptime, and reduced planned and unplanned downtime, with Printpack also benefiting from streamlined support through a single partner for cloud, JDE, and OBIEE.
