Essilor Canada Limitée, a long-time Syntax customer, needed to refresh aging IBM hardware supporting its iSDM ERP environment for distribution, order processing, and accounts receivable. When the cost of replacing the servers proved higher than expected, the company looked for a way to maintain a complex system while avoiding new infrastructure purchases and ongoing maintenance costs.

Syntax migrated Essilor Canada’s iSDM instance to the Syntax Enterprise Cloud®, validating the move with a proof of concept before implementation. The result was lower IT infrastructure costs, streamlined backup and recovery, and stronger disaster recovery protection, while still preserving first-class support and reliable performance for Essilor Canada’s distribution and back-office ERP system.
