IntelliProp, a provider of IP cores and ASSP products for memory and storage systems, needed to deliver a high-performance NVDIMM‑P memory controller on an aggressive schedule. Key challenges included bringing up an IP testbench within 24 hours, getting two UVM-based models that used different protocols to interoperate for NVMe chip-level verification, and supporting a third‑party simulator for Gen‑Z verification.

Using Synopsys VC Verification IP for NVDIMM‑P together with the VCS simulator and Verdi debug, IntelliProp achieved rapid, seamless integration with third‑party models and tools, leveraged built‑in coverage and protocol checks, and enabled a reusable UVM environment. Results included first‑test success in under an hour, full IP integration in one week, bugs flagged immediately, and a roughly one‑month acceleration to market.
