Finastra and Synopsys SIG Partnering to bring world-class security to Finastra’s app ecosystem

Finastra, a leading provider of banking and financial services software, partnered with the Synopsys Software Integrity Group to ensure apps offered through its FusionFabric.cloud marketplace meet stringent security and regulatory requirements. The challenge was to build trust across a diverse ecosystem of FinTechs and banks by validating that applications are secure from design through deployment.

Synopsys implemented its application security validation program—combining Coverity static analysis, Black Duck software composition analysis, penetration testing, and code reviews—to vet apps before they go live. More than 18 FinTechs used the program for 20+ apps; 65% corrected minor missing controls quickly, enabling faster go/no-go decisions, stronger third‑party validation for FinTechs, and greater confidence for financial institutions.
