CalligoTech Next-Gen Computing with Synopsys Design Flow

CalligoTech, an Indian Silicon Valley startup founded in 2012, develops products and solutions for high-performance computing, big data, and AI/ML. The company faced the challenge of commercializing posit arithmetic in hardware and software while advancing a new accelerator design, and turned to Synopsys Digital Design Family tools to support that effort.

With Synopsys, CalligoTech successfully taped out TUNGA, its new accelerator and the first multi-core RISC-V processor using posits. The Synopsys Digital Design Family helped enable this milestone, putting CalligoTech on track to deliver more energy-efficient CPUs and accelerating its next-gen computing roadmap.
