Allwinner Technology Selects Synopsys HAPS FPGA-Based Prototyping System for Their Largest Application Processor SoC Design

Allwinner Technology is a leading fabless design house in China that develops application processor SoCs and analog ICs for tablets, mobile devices and power management. For its A80 Octa—an advanced SoC combining quad-core Cortex‑A15 and quad‑core Cortex‑A7 in an ARM big.LITTLE configuration plus a GPU—Allwinner faced the challenge of high-performance hardware validation for a complex multi‑CPU/GPU design to mitigate cost and schedule risks.

Allwinner selected the Synopsys HAPS FPGA‑based prototyping system to provide the throughput and fidelity needed for system‑level validation.
