Sophic Silicon Technologies, a developer of next‑generation wireless, AI, power-management and analog/mixed‑signal SoCs and IPs, faced the challenge of delivering highly integrated, energy‑efficient wireless SoCs that support multiple protocols (BLE, BT Classic, Wi‑Fi, etc.) without increasing area or power. They also needed to manage complex RF/AMS design issues in congested bands and accelerate development cycles to keep pace with rapidly evolving standards.
By adopting Synopsys Custom Compiler and PrimeSim (using PrimeWave RF measurements) and working closely with the Synopsys Applications team, Sophic rapidly migrated workflows, optimized LNA and transceiver designs through impedance matching, S‑parameter and noise analysis, and streamlined verification. The effort accelerated time‑to‑market and scalable design deployment while achieving target S‑parameters, noise figures and power goals for BLE/BT applications.
