Unilever, the global consumer goods company, needed a reliable video surveillance solution for a new tea factory after earlier problems with a Windows-based DVR system. The company was looking for access from anywhere, 24/7 monitoring, easier configuration of recording and storage, strong data backup, and good price-performance. Synology was selected as the vendor, with Surveillance Station as the core platform.

Synology implemented two RS815+ systems with two RX415 expansion units and Axis cameras, providing 17 simultaneous channels with room to scale. The solution delivered high reliability, better image quality, faster event response, easier remote viewing, and improved recording management, while also enabling backups to external drives or servers and longer retention periods without major investment.
