Toybox, a New Zealand design, animation and visual effects studio, faced an aging SAN that could no longer meet its need for always‑available, scalable storage, 10GbE performance for 4K workflows, and Mac Time Machine backups. Synology Inc.'s RS3614xs+ was deployed with dual PCIe slots fitted with two 10GbE NICs (four 10GbE ports) and expandable capacity up to 36 drives, enabling high‑speed 4K transfers, improved performance for 3D animators and the render farm, and Time Machine backups for Mac Avid and Resolve systems.
