The University of Hong Kong — Faculty of Law struggled with a legacy digital video system that could either record or play back but not do both, limiting their experiential learning recordings of trial advocacy and client interviews. They turned to Synology Inc., adopting Synology NVR solutions (recommended models DS1512+ and DS212+) for centralized video storage, management, and an easy-to-use interface.

Synology Inc. deployed a Synology NVR server so multiple advocacy labs can record simultaneously while trainers and students in other labs review and export recordings over the local network; recordings are also securely backed up on the server. The solution enabled concurrent recording and playback across labs, noticeably improved training efficiency, and generated strong positive feedback from faculty, trainers, and students.
