SHISEIDO Taiwan, the first overseas office of Shiseido, needed a reliable cross‑platform backup after a 2017 ransomware outbreak infected employee PCs. The deployment reduced server backup usage from 58 TB to 28 TB and desktop client data from 6.5 TB to 2.1 TB (over 50% space savings), cut VM backup/restore times dramatically (VM recovery in 15 minutes versus 6–8 hours), and delivered bare‑metal and file‑level recovery options—allowing SHISEIDO Taiwan to scale the solution across its 500‑employee headquarters and branch POS systems.
