Scorpix is a Belgium-based corporate photography company (4 staff and 10 freelance photographers) that produces roughly 8 TB of high-resolution images annually and serves large agencies and institutions. Faced with urgent client deadlines, the need for fast upload/download access during events, reliable backups, and easier in-office photo presentations, Scorpix turned to Synology Inc., deploying the DS1010+ with a DX510 expansion unit.

Synology Inc. implemented a centralized NAS solution (DS1010+ + DX510) using Synology Data Replicator for nightly desktop backups and local replication to the DX510, plus FTP access and DLNA/UPnP streaming for client delivery and TV presentations. The setup secured round‑the‑clock backups, eliminated per‑computer storage management, enabled photographers to upload images live from events, and cut upload/download time by up to 12 hours per week, significantly improving workflow efficiency.
