SBS cuts data recovery time by more than half with Synology

The customer SBS, South Korea's largest private broadcaster, faced the challenge of managing and archiving multiple petabytes of digital content. Their storage requirements surged during a project to repurpose broadcast content for online production, and they needed a scalable, cost-effective solution with high availability and reliability, leading them to vendor Synology Inc.

Synology implemented its HD6500 and RS4021xs+ storage solutions for SBS. This resulted in a substantial decrease in storage costs, streamlined backup and recovery processes that cut data recovery time by more than half, and enhanced security with Snapshot Replication. Impressed by the performance and cost-effectiveness, SBS is expanding its deployment of Synology servers to accommodate future growth.
