Red Robin, a large casual dining restaurant chain, faced the challenge of finding reliable and high-performance storage for its critical transaction data from online ordering systems and surveillance footage across hundreds of locations. A failure in either system could result in significant revenue loss, so they needed a solution that was both dependable and quick to deploy at scale.

Synology Inc. implemented a solution using its RS822RP+ 4-bay rackmount servers. Over 400 units were deployed, each using SSDs for virtual machine storage and HDDs for surveillance. Synology's Central Management System allowed for remote monitoring and management of all servers. This streamlined deployment enabled Red Robin to replace all older units in just three weeks, providing the high-performance, protected storage their restaurants depend on.
