PBS-RTVM (Presidential Broadcast Staff - Radio Television Malacañang) needed a scalable, fast, and user-friendly way to back up and share large volumes of high-definition video during the 2015 APEC summit. Their tape-based workflow and frequent FTP access from remote teams could not keep up with higher-capacity files and collaborative demands, so they engaged Synology Inc. and deployed a Synology DiskStation DS1815+.

Synology Inc. delivered the DS1815+, an 8-bay NAS with up to 144 TB expandable raw capacity, four LAN ports supporting link aggregation (boosting transfer speeds up to 4×), and built‑in FTP and iSCSI services. The solution sped up file transfers, simplified archiving (saving staff time), enabled remote uploads and collaborative editing during APEC with no user complaints, and significantly increased overall productivity.
