I JY SHENG, a Taiwanese bakery chain founded in 1980 with over 20 branches and about 600 employees, faced growing pains from using subscription cloud mail and a mobile instant messaging app that lacked backend management and long-term retention. Retrieving past chat logs and files for marketing or operations was nearly impossible, so the company turned to Synology Inc. for a more manageable, secure communications platform.
Synology Inc. deployed a Synology NAS RS3617RPxs with MailPlus and Chat to build an on‑premises communication platform for all staff. The solution delivered AD integration, remote login, simple backups, mobile iOS/Android support, and the ability to restore deleted emails, giving MIS 100% data governance and making information retrieval straightforward for 600 users. As a result, internal communication and IT management efficiency improved, MIS training burden was reduced, and email/chat administration came under the direct control of I JY SHENG.
