Holiday Inn Riyadh — Meydan, Izdehar, and Olaya (part of IHG Group) faced unreliable DVR-based surveillance with low video quality and instability in extreme summer temperatures (up to 50°C), creating security risks at vehicle entry/exit points and for staff. To address this, Holiday Inn turned to Synology Inc.’s NAS-based surveillance solution, including RackStation/DiskStation hardware and Surveillance Station software.

Synology Inc. deployed 17 RackStations/DiskStations to manage 560 IP cameras across the three hotels, using Surveillance Station CMS for centralized multi-site management and Timeline Smart Search for fast footage retrieval; recordings are archived for 20 days. The Synology solution integrated with existing IT, improved video stability in harsh conditions, streamlined monitoring via a single web portal, and enabled faster incident response and analysis.
