Express Stores, a premier T-Mobile USA partner operating over 200 retail locations, faced a challenge in expanding its surveillance infrastructure. Their traditional system lacked central management and used incompatible hardware, which heavily taxed their limited IT department resources as the company prepared to add 81 new stores. They needed to modernize and streamline their surveillance deployment.

Synology Inc. provided a scalable, centralized solution using its Surveillance Station software and RackStation units. This allowed Express Stores to centrally monitor 76 locations, saving significant time and resources by enabling remote maintenance without physical visits. The system proved resilient during Hurricane Irma, automatically resuming operation after power outages. Following this success, Express Stores plans to roll out the Synology solution across all 200+ of its locations.
