Department of Land and Survey - Customer Case Study

The Department of Land and Survey of Jordan needed a robust nationwide surveillance solution to protect land ownership records and manage incidents across 35 directorates. Faced with limited WAN bandwidth and the requirement that video recordings remain available even during network outages or local system failures, the department turned to Synology Inc. and deployed its Surveillance Station along with recommended models DS216+II and RS3617xs.

Synology Inc. implemented a complete surveillance network using DS216+II NVRs at remote sites and an RS3617xs at headquarters as central storage, archiving, and license management, complemented by Synology’s Centralized Management System (CMS). The solution archives recorded segments from each directorate without impacting peak WAN operations, provides single‑interface monitoring of device health and permissions, and delivers continuous availability of recordings across all 35 directorates while significantly increasing administrative efficiency and flexibility.
