CrossPoint, a global business technology provider, faced growing demand for faster local access to large diagrams and presentations and wanted country-based survivability to avoid sole reliance on its Sydney datacentre. Using Synology Inc.’s RS2414RP+ already in Sydney and Synology’s Cloud Station for PC sync in Singapore, the company sought a complementary solution to improve performance and provide disaster recovery.

Synology Inc. supplied a second RS2414RP+ in Singapore and deployed Cloud Station ShareSync to replicate the Sydney NAS, giving local staff direct SMB access and greatly improving file-transfer speeds over a dark‑fibre connection while ensuring geographically diverse redundancy. The Synology solution also integrated with CrossPoint’s VMware, iSCSI/NFS, AD and backup workflows, providing off‑site backup, reduced risk of data loss, easier management, and a more reliable, high‑performance document management system.
