CRESCO Holding, a privately held global services and IT solutions group with offices in the UAE, Philippines, Seychelles, Costa Rica and India, needed a NAS solution that would provide zero downtime, secure file sharing and a user-friendly chat platform for project-based communication. To meet these requirements they selected Synology Inc., deploying Synology Chat along with Synology NAS hardware and services such as Cloud Station ShareSync and Hyper Backup.

Synology Inc. implemented a topology with an RS3617RPxs primary server in the UAE, DS216+ units in Cebu and Seychelles for real-time sync, and an RS2212RP+ offsite backup server; Synology Chat (with webhook integration to JumpChat) unified communications across branches. The deployment delivered seamless, real-time data synchronization, secure instant messaging and video collaboration, and robust disaster recovery via block-level incremental backups and cross-version deduplication that drastically reduce storage for multi-version backups—resulting in continuous availability and, as CRESCO reports, reliable operation with “hardly any problems” since 2007.
