Chausson Materiaux, a leader in France's construction materials industry, faced significant financial losses due to an outdated and decentralized alarm system across its 350 stores. The company needed a cost-effective, centralized, and flexible surveillance solution from Synology Inc. to monitor all locations from their headquarters.

Synology implemented a scalable system using a central RackStation and over 100 NAS units in individual stores running Surveillance Station. This allowed security personnel to monitor real-time feeds and receive instant motion detection alerts. Using Synology's IP telephony integration, guards could now immediately deter intruders by speaking directly into a store, drastically improving response times and preventing thefts.
