Beijing Uni-construction Tech - Customer Case Study

Beijing Uni-construction Tech, a subsidiary focused on urban–rural development, needed a new mail system after their third‑party cloud provider discontinued service. Enterprise mail and on‑prem Exchange were too costly or complex, and public cloud options lacked required features and security. Working with Synology Inc., they leveraged an existing RS2416RP+ and evaluated Synology MailPlus Server, MailPlus, and Synology Drive to meet their needs.

Synology Inc. converted the RS2416RP+ into a secure, scalable mail server by deploying Synology MailPlus Server/MailPlus, migrating mail with Synology’s Mail System Migration, and using Synology Drive Server for endpoint backups. The deployment used twelve 4 TB drives (10 in RAID 5 + 2 hot spares = ~36 TB, scalable to 24 bays), included 100 MailPlus licenses, and delivered stronger anti‑spam/malware protection, centralized administration via DSM, easy email search/auditing, reduced maintenance costs, and improved communication efficiency and cybersecurity for Beijing Uni-construction Tech.
