Case Study: ALB-GOLD achieves easy-to-use, expandable IP video surveillance with Synology Inc.'s Surveillance Station (DiskStation DS713+)

A Synology Inc. Case Study

Preview of the ALB-GOLD Case Study

ALB-GOLD pasta GmbH relies on Synology Surveillance Station convenience for its video surveillance setup

ALB-GOLD, a family‑owned pasta manufacturer in Trochtelfingen, needed to replace a rigid coaxial and outdated IP camera setup with an easy‑to‑use, easily expandable and budget‑friendly networked surveillance system that would support its ABUS cameras (four TVIP11502, one TVIP31501 and one TVIP11551). After researching solutions, the company chose Synology Inc.’s Surveillance Station running on a DiskStation DS713+.

Synology Inc. linked the DS713+ to ALB‑GOLD’s network and ABUS cameras, providing an intuitive Surveillance Station interface that was configured in a few short steps and has run without interruption since deployment. The solution met all requirements—simple camera control and user privilege management, immediate support for the six existing cameras, up to 8 TB onboard storage (expandable to 28 TB with DX213/DX513), and multitasking capabilities via DiskStation Manager—delivering easy expandability and reliable monitoring while keeping costs manageable.
