Yell, the online evolution of the Yellow Pages, faced an aging SAP ECC 6.0 landscape and rising competitive pressure to become more real-time and agile. To simplify its IT architecture and reduce costs, Yell chose to migrate its UK data to SAP S/4HANA hosted on the Microsoft Azure Cloud and engaged Syniti to design and execute the data-driven migration while addressing data deletion, archiving and quality issues.

Syniti ran a discovery and design-led workshop, demonstrated S/4HANA outcomes, implemented data archiving/deletion strategies and introduced SAP Fiori where useful, working closely with Microsoft and Yell to deliver the migration. The move to SAP S/4HANA on Azure completed in March 2019, on time and on budget, eliminated one legacy supplier-management system, cut Yell’s estate by 50%, reduced exposure to technical risk and delivered measurable hosting and operational simplification under Syniti’s guidance.
