Case Study: Geberit achieves dramatic data-quality improvement and scalable passive governance with Syniti

A Syniti Case Study

Preview of the Geberit Case Study

Transformation through Passive Data Governance

Geberit, a European leader in sanitary products with 30 production facilities and a global footprint, faced growing data complexity after years of product and organizational expansion and a 10+ year homegrown Microsoft Access governance system that could no longer assure data quality across ERP and PIM systems. To adopt a scalable, enterprise‑grade passive data governance approach, Geberit engaged Syniti and evaluated an integrated solution centered on Syniti’s Data Stewardship Platform (DSP) alongside SAP Data Services and SAP Information Steward.

Syniti implemented the DSP to provide centralized, automated data quality management and passive governance across multiple ERPs and PIMs, integrating rule execution, failed‑data reporting, stakeholder notification and remediation workflows. The Syniti solution delivered automated notifications and guided fixes, web access to failed data, multi‑language support, handling of massive data volumes, faster rule updates (critical during the Sanitec merger) and improved visibility and control—yielding a dramatic improvement in data quality, operational agility and cross‑system synchronization for Geberit.
